Luc Gérin-Lajoie received his BScA in Electrical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal in 1982.

From 1998 to 2004 he was the technical manager of the RD EMTP-RV project in HQ; he contributes in the validation of the new EMTP-RV/EMTPWorks tandem.

From 2004 to present he is developing EMTP models for system excitations, stabilizers, protection relays, load and also contributing in HQ power system simulations. His responsibilities includes impact of EMT on system protection and control, series compensation and SVC studies for the bulk transmission system.
